Earlier Tuesday, the Meduza has published an open letter Dading, which he gave from Segezha IR-7 through a lawyer. In it he said that in prison, he was repeatedly tortured. According to him, after his arrival in the colony, September 10, he took things and threw two blades to send in an insulator. “Here it is common practice — used to have to put new arrivals in the cooler, so they immediately understood what the hell” — says Dading.

the Activist said that in the colony went on hunger strike. According to him, September 11, he was beaten four times. “After the third beating lowered his head in a toilet right in the cell, punishment cell,” — said in the letter. The next day, he said, prison staff tied his hands behind his back and hung by the handcuffs: “So I was hanging half an hour. Then he took off my panties, and said now will bring the other prisoner and he’s gonna rape me if I didn’t agree to stop the hunger strike”.

In a letter Dading also said he received threats from the administration, if he decides to complain about what is happening.

Ildar Dading was sentenced to three years in prison in December 2015. He was found guilty under article 212.1 of the criminal code (Repeated violation of the established procedure of organizing or holding meetings, rallies, demonstrations, marches or picketing). According to the investigation, Dading broke the law during protests on 6 and 23 August, 13 September and 5 December 2014. At the court session the Prosecutor asked to sentence the Dading to two years in prison.

the Moscow city court commuted the sentence in March Dadina to two and a half years in prison. The activist became the first Russian who has received real term for violations at rallies.

St.212.1, which Dadina was convicted was included in the criminal code in the summer of 2014. It provides for the penalty of a fine of 600 thousand to 1 million rubles, compulsory work or imprisonment for up to five years for repeated violation of the order of the meeting.

According to the law on rallies, the breach is a failure to comply with the requirements of the police or the organizer of the action, and the violation of requirements to ensure road safety. In addition, you cannot hide the face, to carry a weapon, stabbing or sharp objects, fireworks, and alcohol or be intoxicated. It is forbidden to take part in actions, inconsistent with the authorities.
