Today is the fourth of November Russia celebrates the national unity Day. On this day in 1612 soldiers militia led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky stormed China town, freeing Moscow from Polish invaders and demonstrating the model of heroism and solidarity of all people regardless of origin, religion and position in society. In Khabarovsk it is planned a number of celebrations.
One of the main events of the celebration of national unity Day will be a rally which will be held under the slogan “the unity of the people power to Russia!”. The celebration will bring together representatives of public organizations, youth, ethnic communities, trade unions and active residents of Khabarovsk. Will start the action at 12:00.
After the rally, all participants will enjoy a festive program. Before the audience will perform the best creative teams of the city and region, which repeatedly became winners of the regional competitions, have informed in a press-service of the Khabarovsk Krai government.
In a festive day, November 4, the program of events was prepared and a zoo “Priamursky” named after V. P. Sysoev. 13:00 everyone will be able to come on the tour with a demonstration of feeding animals. Guests of the zoo are waiting for the master class “family Friendly” and memorable Souvenirs.

In 1649, Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich ordered to celebrate the day of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God not only in summer but on 22 October (Julian calendar) when his first child was born, Dmitry Alekseevich. “The celebration of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God (in memory of disposal of Moscow and Russia from poles in 1612)” is stored in the Orthodox and folk calendar.
In the XX and XXI centuries the day of 22 October according to the Julian calendar corresponds to the Gregorian calendar, 4 Nov. This date is chosen as the national holiday.
