The government has denied the increase in salaries of officials 38% – RBC

“We refute this information,” — told RBC employee of the Department.

Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday that it has no information about when the salaries of officials will be “unfrozen. “I do not have information about what is planned increase. You know that now pause with the increase is, I don’t know about any dates when this pause will be interrupted”, — he said (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).

RBC filed a request for review to the press service of the Ministry of Finance and has not yet received a response.

Earlier Tuesday, the TV channel RT, citing the Department of press service and information of the government announced that from January 2019 salary of Federal officials may increase in average by 38% due to the guaranteed rate (salary). As a broadcast TV channel, the press service said that the adoption in the fourth quarter of 2018 of measures to increase the salaries of officials stipulated by paragraph 13 of the action plan for the implementation of the main directions of development of civil service in 2016-2018. “The entry into force of these normative legal acts is expected from 1 January 2019,” — quoted by RT of his companion.

In August 2016, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On main directions of development of the state civil service of the Russian Federation in 2016-2018,” which, in particular, is aimed at raising the prestige of civil service.

As previously wrote RBC, the draft budget for the next three years which, on 30 October, arrived in the state Duma, does not provide for increasing the salaries of civil servants.

In October, the Ministry of Finance called for the abolition introduced in the “fat years” mandatory annual indexation of salaries of civil servants on the rate of inflation. According to the Finance Department, the growth of payments to officials should depend on the possibilities of the budget.
