At the same time, 28% of respondents believe that certain categories of the population limit is necessary to leave the country, that is, the authorities should enter and exit visas. Of these, 79% believe that the reason for such a prohibition may serve as the possession of state secrets and secrets, 34% found a worthy occasion military conflict with another state. 22% of supporters of restrictions believe that overseas workers can not produce the organizations recognized as “foreign agents.” Among those who favor restrictions on the right to travel in certain situations dominated by older people (31%), respondents with less than secondary education (37%), low consumer status (40%) and rural residents (35%).
More than half (55%) of all respondents believe such restrictions are not valid, because freedom of movement – the inalienable right of a citizen. An exception may be only the person under investigation or serving a sentence.
It should be noted that the survey was held 19 – 22 September 2014 on a representative nationwide sample of urban and rural population of 1600 people aged 18 years and older in 134 settlements of 46 regions of the country. Statistical error of the data from these studies did not exceed 3.4%.
