Not had time to get away from the pages of the media news of ordering promotional activities on Russian television, as there was another – about a possible return of advertising on our channels, however, its content must be filled with Russian products.
Amendments to the Law “On the Media” and “On Advertising” yesterday made a co-chairman of the central headquarters of the ONF Olga Timofeeva. It was supported by other members of the ONF.
The novelty of amendments to laws is the responsibility of such a thing as a “national media products.” Under this concept is proposed to introduce the content, foreign investment in the production of which does not exceed 50% of the estimated cost.
«National Media Production – is content that is created by the citizens of the Russian Federation or Russian legal entities in which the proportion of foreign investment not exceeding 50 % of the estimated cost of such products. In this case, a simple duplication of foreign content is not recognized by the creation of the national media products, “- the document says ONF.
The bill, according to the authors, is needed in order to encourage the production of domestic content.
“The document will protect Russian values, a continuation of the course that was taken when making summer law limiting foreign stakes in Russian media».
The law is important to take, as from 1 January 2015 has already entered into the absolute ban advertising on cable television.
However, according to experts of the Legal Board, the proposed restriction may be waived because it is difficult to trace the entire production chain of content.
