Identified the poorest cities in Russia – a REGNUM
The Department of Sociology University of Finance of the Russian government has identified the poorest cities in Russia. These included: Togliatti, Astrakhan, Penza, Volgograd, Saratov.
The study was conducted in 2014 in 35 cities with a population of over 500 thousand. Man. Rating is at “poverty index”, based on self-esteem level of well-being made by the people. The top ten poorest cities also includes: Rostov-on-Don, Lipetsk, Barnaul, Naberezhnye Chelny, Voronezh. In Omsk, Ulyanovsk, Ryazan, Krasnoyarsk, Yaroslavl, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk, Kemerovo and Khabarovsk “poverty index” above 0,40.
