Vladimir Putin has appointed Leonid Markelov interim head of Mari El – Russian newspaper

The president signed a decree “On Acting Head of the Republic of Mari El.” This was reported by the Kremlin press service.

The term of office expired Leonid Markelov, in connection with which President appointed him as acting head of the region “before taking office the person elected head of the Republic of Mari El”.
