BACKGROUND:
Boris Nemtsov was born October 9, 1959 in Sochi. Since 1967, lived in Nizhny Novgorod (formerly – the city of Gorky). In 1981 he graduated from the Faculty of Radiophysics Gorky State University. Lobachevsky, then worked at the Gorky Research Institute of Radio Physics. In September-December 1991 was the representative of the Russian President in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In December 1991 he was appointed head of the regional administration of the Nizhny Novgorod region in 1997 – First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, from March to December 1997, while he was Minister of Fuel and Energy Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government on operational issues. In August 1998, after the resignation of the cabinet Kiriyenko finally resigned from the executive branch. In his later years he was co-chairman of a political party “Republican Party of Russia – People’s Freedom Party” (RPR-Parnassus). In September 2013 regional elections reelected to Yaroslavl Oblast Duma of the sixth convocation.
He was awarded the medal “For Services to the Fatherland” II degree (1994). In 2009 he was awarded the honorary title of the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod region “Merit”.
