Putin is much more influential than Obama by the readers of Time – Moskovsky Komsomolets

The Russian leader Vladimir Putin has won first place in the ranking of the hundred most influential people in the world by the readers of US magazine Time. US President Barack Obama, who took 11th place, managed to score only 1.4% of the vote.

The voting ended last Friday, but its official results were announced just now. As noted on the website of the magazine Time, readers were invited to make their choice on the basis of how this or that person in the past year “changed the world, for better or worse”.

The Russian leader topped the rating of the hundred most influential people typing 6.95% of the vote. With some delay, the second place was South Korean pop star Lee Chae Rin, better known as CL.

In the third and fourth – representatives of pop Lady Gaga industry (2.6%) and Rihanna (1.9%) . Fifth place was taken by director Taylor Swift (1.8%), author of the controversial tape “Fifty Shades of Grey” by a worldwide bestseller.

Commenting on Putin’s leadership in the ranking, a spokesman for the president, Dmitry Peskov, said that in the Kremlin, the voting process is not followed. In addition, he noted that he did not know about the reaction of the president to win.
