Official representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov commented on the fact that the support planes of the Royal air force of great Britain the Russian Tu-160 bombers. About it reports TASS.

According to Konashenkov, the Tu-160 is indeed fulfilled the tasks according to plan of air patrol. They flew over neutral waters near the Barents, Norwegian seas and the Atlantic ocean. In addition, the Tu-160 was refueled in the air by aircraft-tankers Il-78.

“At some stages of the tour of the Tu-160 was accompanied by the aircraft of foreign States, including pilots of the Royal air force, for which the support of Russian aircraft and ships of the Russian Navy somehow is always considered an exceptional event and the main news of the day”, — said Konashenkov.
