the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia proposed by President Vladimir Putin to expel 31 employee of the U.S. Embassy and four employees of the Consulate General in St. Petersburg, said foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Such measures will respond to the sanctions, which the US authorities has introduced yesterday.
“We certainly can’t leave such a thing unanswered. Reciprocity is the law of diplomacy and international relations”, — said the Minister (quoted by TASS).
Lavrov also proposed to ban American diplomats to use a dacha in Serebryany Bor and warehouse on Road street in the capital.

the foreign Minister expressed hope that Moscow will promptly consider all proposals in response to the sanctions. He assured that Russia will not leave sanctions without a response, the United States, but will act according to the principles of reciprocity.
the United States expanded sanctions against Russia in response to “interference in the elections.” Sergei Lavrov reiterated that such accusations are unfounded. He stressed that the us government has not led evidence of Russia’s involvement in influencing the election process.

However, the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in an interview with RBC called the information about the closure of schools is not true.
