Russia reserves the right asymmetrical response to U.S. sanctions, TASS, said the Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov.

Thus, according to the Agency, he commented on the expansion of the American Ministry of Finance anti-Russian sanctions list.

“We reserve the right to choose the time, place and form of retaliatory action in the form as it will suit us, and how it would relate to our own priorities in the American direction,” said Ryabkov, noting that the Russian side “should be on the lookout”.

“We don’t know what the next hostile to the us action may be taken by the current leadership of the United States,” — explained the politician.

Ryabkov also said that, in his opinion, “there is no logical core to them [the US authorities] the behavior is long gone”. “And we by and large used to”, — concluded the Deputy Minister.

About extending the U.S. list of sanctions against Russia became known on Tuesday, December 20. This was stated by the U.S. Treasury. According to the Ministry, the restrictions were imposed in connection with the situation in Ukraine.

The “blacklist”, according to the document, includes seven individuals, including President of National media group, Kirill Kovalchuk, the members of the Board of Directors of Joint stock Bank “Russia” Dmitry Lebedev, Michael KLISHIN, Dmitry Mansurov. Restrictions also touched on a number of companies, including “Stroyproekt”, state unitary enterprise “Crimean sea ports”, “Crimean railway”, LLC “Roskhimtreyd”, “Transperant”, “Kaarst”, “solid” and “TRANS fleet”.
