Putin: Russia may invest in Slovenian Railways EUR 1 billion – View

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with Slovenian colleague Borut Pahor relations between Russia and the European Union, expressing hope for their restoration, and also reported on the preparation of the new contract, Gazprom to supply gas to this country.

following the meeting, Putin said that JSC Russian Railways may invest 1 billion euros in the modernisation of Slovenian railway. Options for the participation of “Russian Railways” in modernization is still being worked out, reports TASS.

in addition, Putin announced Gazprom a new contract on gas supplies to Slovenia before 2022.

Putin also said after the meeting with Pahor about the hope of restoring relations with the United States.
