The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation declared wanted by the CEO-owner of the fishing trawler “Far East” LLC “Magellan” Yegor Gaschenko in the case of the wreck of the Sea of Okhotsk, said agency spokesman Vladimir Markin.
Markin noted that, according to the investigation, Gaschenko may stay in the Republic of Korea.
Also, investigators told the deputy director general of the detention “Magellan” Alexander Kudritskaya. In the near future investigation is going to apply for his arrest.
According to Markin, at the place where the trawler in Nevelsk seaport and the office of “Magellan” were seized ship and register documents to the vessel and other documentation. At the request of the investigation the court seized accounts and assets of the company, the shipowner and the responsible persons.
The investigation is considering several versions of the wreck of the trawler, including the loss of stability when placing fishery products caught on board in violation of the rules and failure to comply with the company’s management, the shipowner trawler operating rules.
The rescued sailors and body the victims are in the courts “Andromeda” and “justice”, which, according to Interfax, sent to the port of Korsakov Sakhalin region.

Trawler “Far East” sank on the night of April 2 in the Sea of Okhotsk about 300 kilometers from Magadan. On board were 132 people, 56 of whom died. Another 63 sailors were saved 13 people unaccounted for. Upon the collapse of the trawler criminal case under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code (“violation of safety rules and operation of water transport, resulting in the death of two or more persons”).
