In connection with the strengthening of the sanctions and the deteriorating economic situation in the country, the Communist Party made to the State Duma a new bill – allowing the Russian president to refuse to pay the external debt of those countries that are damaging to the country’s economy by imposing sanctions.

According to Vyacheslav Tetekina, sanctions undermine Russia’s economy and prevents implement timely payment of debts to other countries. Therefore, it is quite justified to waive payment of a debt to those countries which participate in sanctions against Russia.

The MP believes that such actions they interfere Russia to fulfill its obligations and pay debts, despite such obstacles from other countries – equivalent to the voluntary destruction of their own country and people.

If the bill presented by Vyacheslav Tetekinym be approved, from the first days of summer, Russia will stop payment of countries that announced sanctions against the Russian Federation. Also, the president of the Russian Federation will be able to withdraw from its obligations in respect of other treaties that were signed between the two countries, which have imposed sanctions and Russia.

The Communists also told that if you do not approve the bill eliminates the payments on the foreign debt, pledged sanctions – a year later the Russian economy will be so exhausted, that foreign creditors can demand payment of the entire amount owed.
