Naryshkin welcomed Seoul’s reluctance to introduce anti-Russian sanctions – Russian newspaper

The Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin welcomed South Korea’s unwillingness to be led by Washington and to introduce non-legal sanctions against Russia.

Today the head of the lower house of Russia’s parliament, visited Seoul on an official visit . Naryshkin program began with a working breakfast with representatives of the Korean business community. The event was attended by representatives of companies-giants like Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd; LS Networks, Daelim, Lotte Group, Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, BHI Group. The speaker urged his interlocutors to participate in overcoming the economic and trade crisis between Russia and South Korea.

In addition, the Korean partners are well aware that anti-Russian sanctions – are measures that violate international law and the WTO.

In order to eliminate all the “problems” in relations, Naryshkin called on the business community in Korea to work closely together which would give greater stability and cooperation sectoral balance. In addition, between the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Korea Investment Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a fund with the same amount of funds. According to the chairman of the State Duma, these platforms will launch new projects and will contribute to the development of Russia’s eastern regions.
