Lavrov and Kerry called for a cessation of hostilities in Karabakh – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, April 4 – RIA Novosti Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed by telephone the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, said the Russian Foreign Ministry

“The Heads.. foreign affairs agencies expressed serious concern over the escalation of conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, confirming urgent appeal for an immediate cessation of hostilities. It was agreed to intensify the efforts of Russia, the USA and France as co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group to assist in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Lavrov and Kerry condemned the attempts of some “external players “spur confrontation in Karabakh”, – stated in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
