The lawyer Sergei Lavrentiev said that now Sandakova transferred from Ekaterinburg to Chelyabinsk FSB detention center. According to him, his client offered to plead guilty, and in this case he would have escaped arrest pending trial, but he refused. Lavrentiev also suggested that the arrest is linked to the desire to obtain the testimony of the investigation, which could give Sandakov respect to third parties – perhaps because of the number of high-ranking officials, the correspondent of Radio Liberty Alexander Valiev.
