They are accused of multiple murders, banditry and possession of weapons.
The College retired to the jury room of the Moscow Regional Court the day before, about three o’clock in the afternoon. Soon, however, the jury was asked to postpone the meeting for today. They will have to answer almost 70 questions. They list the offenses to which, according to investigators, the defendants were involved. Among them – the murder of Judge Edward Chuvashova, anti-fascists and attempted policeman. Some were made on a national basis. Members of the board must indicate whether the defendants are guilty of specific acts and whether they deserve leniency. The prosecutor’s office previously requested a guilty verdict, defense, on the other hand, felt that the defendants can be justified. Once the decision is announced, Judge Alexander Kozlov goes on writing the sentence. Persons involved, members of the “Combat Organization of Russian Nationalists” Maxim Baklagina, Vyacheslav Isaev, Mikhail Volkov and Yuri Tikhomirov could face life in prison.
The meeting will begin at 11 am today.
