According to a recent survey, “Levada Center”, conducted in 134 settlements of 46 regions of Russia, 49% of respondents believe the main merit of President Vladimir Putin is the return of the country’s great power status.
Among his major achievements during the presidency of 34% of the respondents identified the stabilization of the situation in the North Caucasus and to prevent the collapse of the country.
Several smaller number of Russians (29%) grateful to Putin for the increase of salaries and pensions, allowances and scholarships, as well as for the successful struggle against the crisis of 2008.
The Russians noted convergence between the CIS countries, policies for social protection of the population.
Assessing the personality of Vladimir Putin, 41% of respondents said his energetic, determined and strong-willed person.

If you take the overall results survey that 73% of respondents expressed a positive attitude towards Vladimir Putin, while last year the figure was 58%.
It should be noted that only 6% of respondents have negative feelings, 14% have an unfavorable impression of Putin .
The survey showed increased confidence in the President: 2014 – 61% in 2015 – up to 83%.
There were interviewed 1,600 people.
