The head of the Polish foreign Ministry announced a meeting of the Council Russia-NATO in December – RBC

a New meeting of the Council Russia-NATO can be held in December this year. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Poland Witold Waszczykowski, reports the newspaper Rzeczpospolita.

“There are plans to hold a meeting later this month,” said Waszczykowski told reporters.

According to the head of the Polish Department, in the course of negotiations with NATO, it was decided to resume negotiations in the framework of the Council Russia-NATO. He stressed that these meetings are “a little lead” because “Russia is using them to promote their own policy.”

currently in Brussels held two-day talks between foreign Ministers of the NATO countries, which was attended by Polish Minister Waszczykowski.

the Last meeting of the Council NATO-Russia was held in July 2016 in Warsaw after the summit of the countries-participants of NATO. On it, in particular, the two sides agreed to develop a system that will increase security in the Baltic sea region, as well as to oblige the aircraft to fly solely with the included recognition devices. The NATO head Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance welcomed Russia’s proposals to reduce safety risks in the air in the Baltic region.

Later by the permanent representative of Russia to NATO Alexander Grushko said that NATO refused to hold an expert meeting in Moscow to discuss security issues in the Baltic sea, including military flights-enabled transponders.
