At the North Pole opened a new Russian drifting station – Channel One

The State Commission for the development of the Arctic, led by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has opened Russian drifting station “North Pole-2015″. On it for three months will work 18 people, who will collect scientific information.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev, Natural Resources Minister Sergei Donskoi and Special Representative of the President for International Cooperation in the Arctic, Arthur Chilingarov. For them it was the first exit meeting created a month ago the State Commission.

The trip, however, angered Norway. The fact is that on the way to the Arctic members of the delegation made a stopover in Spitsbergen, which though has a special international status, but is under the jurisdiction of Oslo. And there are against Dmitry Rogozin Western sanctions: it denied entry to a number of countries, including Norway.

The citizens of our country, which are sent directly to Svalbard from Russia, a visa is not necessary to register, but the round trip Dmitry Rogozin still displeased in Norway. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Scandinavian kingdom today is going to cause the Russian ambassador for an explanation.
