The head of Russia Vladimir Putin has approved the initiative of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the Presidential Administration (PA) to amend the legislation on the election observation, found out the newspaper “Kommersant”. However, after the adoption of the proposals, actions that violate the integrity of the personal data of voters and the secrecy of voting, remain forbidden.
According to the newspaper, Putin signed a proposal on January 20. It is recommended based on them to prepare amendments to the Law “On guarantees of electoral rights …” and “On elections of deputies of the State Duma.” This should be done before the start of election campaign to the State Duma, which will be held this fall.
