Protecting the former air traffic controller Peter Parpulova of Sochi in the Russian Supreme Court appealed the sentence imposed on him for treason.
According to “Interfax” his lawyer Oleg Eliseev, the complaint against the verdict Krasnodar Regional Court sent by mail to the judicial board on criminal cases of the Supreme Court. The appeal asks to justify protection Parpulova due to lack of evidence.
Recall that last Friday the Krasnodar regional court found Peter Parpulova guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code (high treason) and sentenced him to 12 years imprisonment in a penal colony.
A resident of Sochi, a former deputy chief of the Black Sea traffic service center movement of the branch “Air Navigation South” Parpulov accused of having committed treason in 2010, while on holiday in another country. According to media reports, he Parpulov told the court that we are talking about information that had previously been published on the website of the newspaper “Red Star”, and therefore he does not consider them secret.
