The presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan held talks in Baku, their conversation took place behind closed doors. It is reported by “RIA Novosti”. On the part of the Russian Federation in a meeting attended by the presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Energy Minister Alexander Novak, the head of Rosatom, Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of “Gazprom” Alexei Miller.

During PHOTOSESSION President only exchanged impressions about the opening ceremony held on the eve of the first European games, in which they both attended. Mr. Erdogan, in particular, noted that the ceremony did not come from one of the leaders of the European Union. “Turkey, as a candidate for accession to the EU, representing the entire European Union,” – responded by Russian president. The presidents of Turkey and the Russian Federation have agreed that the ceremony was very colorful and wished success to the teams of their countries and the athletes ‘mistress’ European games – Azerbaijan.
