More than 20 funds will be included in the “patriotic stop-list” of foreign companies, which the Council of the Federation (SF) will direct the Prosecutor General asking them to check their work, according to “Times”, citing sources. In particular, the discussion included in the list of organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, and Freedom House (USA), the Ford Foundation (USA), Robert Bosch Stiftung (Germany) and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation (USA). After testing a number of funds will go to the registry of unwanted foreign organizations and their activities in Russia will be banned. According to the official publication, the first helpers may appear in the register in the fall.

As previously reported by “Kommersant”, the Federation Council intends to initiate a review of foreign organizations and to prepare a “patriotic stop-list” – the list of foreign organizations working to destabilize the situation in Russia. With such a proposal at the plenary meeting, the head of the Federation Council committee on international affairs Konstantin Kosachev. These organizations, in his opinion, should include “the Soros Foundation, National Endowment for Democracy, the MacArthur Foundation, the National Democratic Institute, and many others.” Is expected at the next meeting of the Federation Council to work on this issue with the Prosecutor General’s Office and Ministry of Justice.
