Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to the Vatican, the Pope discussed with Francis and the universal humanitarian values. It is reported by RIA “Novosti» with reference to Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
«In Rome, a talk with the Pope. Chatting is very deep, according to the president, thorough. It lasted more than an hour. We discussed the current situation in world affairs, of course, mentioned the crisis in Ukraine, spoke about the human and humanitarian values, which largely combined and the Catholic world, and Orthodox, and all religions “- said Peskov.
According to him, the Russian leader also spoke to the pope about the situation of Christians in the Middle East, in particular – in Syria.
