In the next Monday will be held before the Working Group, which will be led by the Minister for “open government” Michael Abizov, online petition, drawn opposition Alexei Navalny, and typing a hundred thousand votes online -Resources Russian public initiative during January-December last year. The petition proposed to carry out the ratification of the 20th article of the UN Convention Anticorruption, after which the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation will have to fill up a new offense – “illegal enrichment” – with regard to officials.
Bulk in support of the initiative launched broadest campaign, which is connected to the well and its supporters. According to her, the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation should be extended to the 20th article of the Convention of the United Nations, which means that the criminalization of illicit enrichment of officials, expanding the scope of the legislative definition of “corruption”, as well as an introduction for officials who are substituents on vysishh state positions, the obligation to submit information to employers on the income received and expenditure, their adult children, and so on. This petition is the second initiative Navalny, which was supported by the necessary number of signatures. Previously, he posted on the IC petition, which was prescribed limit value of motor vehicles to government officials in the amount of 1.5 million rubles, not approved by the advisory council to transfer it for consideration by the Russian government.
In the present petition is assumed that will be adopted by federal law, in connection with which it is to be considered at the federal expert working group under the leadership of Minister of “open government” Michael Abyzova. This group consists of 34 people and includes representatives of ministries, deputies, senators, experts and community members. The press service of “open government” was told that his participation in the meeting have already confirmed ministries – the Ministry of Justice and the Interior Ministry.
