The final decision on new sanctions will be taken at a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the European Union

The EU is considering expanding the “black list” of citizens of Russia and Ukraine, for which will be introduced visa and banking restrictions. The list of names can be extended by some Russian deputies and officials.

According to the news agency TASS European diplomatic source, the list can get about 15 people and 4 organizations. First of all it will be the separatist leaders in eastern Ukraine.

“This discussion is conducted from the beginning of the week at the level of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU. The decision is expected to take until the end of this week to a supplement to the” black list “were published before the meeting of the European Council at the level of Foreign Ministers on February 9, “- he said.

The correspondent of “Radio Liberty” in Brussels Yozvyak Rickard wrote in his “Twitter”, which will include a new list of 19 people and 9 organizations.

According to the German news agency DPA, in sanctions list can enter the Russian deputies and deputy ministers. They are waiting for a ban on obtaining Schengen visas and freezing of bank accounts in the EU.

A source in Brussels told the agency that “black list” will replenish the names of five Russian nationals and 14 Ukrainian separatists.

Without Shoigu?

The final decision on new sanctions are expected to be adopted at a meeting of EU foreign ministers next Monday.

The names of citizens who be included in the “black list” are not disclosed until until they are published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

According to a source DPA, in the new list, apparently, will not enter Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, as in the EU believe that the imposition of sanctions against it could complicate the negotiation process in Ukraine.

Last time the “black list” of the EU replenished November 29, 2014. Currently it includes 132 people and 28 organizations from Russia and Ukraine.

In July last year, the EU also imposed against Russia sectoral economic sanctions, including restrictions on access to the European credit for five Russian banks: Sberbank, VTB, Gazprombank, Vnesheconombank and the Agricultural Bank.
