In Russia Tensions related to the deteriorating economic situation in the country. More than half of Russians believe that the government is unable to cope with the economic problems – according to surveys of the population. At the same time, the Russians do not tend to demand the resignation of the current Cabinet. Conversely, the percentage of citizens minded anti-government reduced. Sociologists explain this euphoria from the Crimea, which has already eclipsed dissatisfaction elections to the Duma.

More than half of Russians polled by the Levada Center (52% of 1,600 respondents) feel the increase in tension in the society. Approximately the same number of citizens pointed to the growing tension in the past. And in December 2012, the figure was even more – 58%.

Now, however, has changed markedly list causes the greatest dissatisfaction among Russians. As reported yesterday by the Levada Center in J anuary of this year, 74% of respondents indicating an increase in tension, as the main reason was called “the economic problems facing the country.” In second place – 42% – “aggravation of the international situation.” In third place – 19% – “the aggravation of national problems.” Several years ago, the answers were distributed differently.

For example, in December 2011 the first place among the causes of tension took the economic situation, but to say about it much less of the respondents – 59%. In second place were the Duma and presidential elections – 37%. In third place – 22% – an increase of hostility between people.

«Economic problems are always in the lead. But the version of the “aggravation of the international situation” as the reason for the growth of tension in society first reached such indicators under the infl uence of confrontation with the West “- says sociologist Levada Center Karina Pipia. According to her, the euphoria of the Crimea, patriotic enthusiasm negated dissatisfaction elections to the State Duma, which had previously resulted in protests.

The patriotic enthusiasm is beneficial not only to the State Duma and the government. On the one hand, many Russians a low score for the current activity of the cabinet, but on the other – they do not tend to demand his resignation.

According to the Levada Center, only 6% of those polled believe that today the government fulfills its social obligations to the people “in full”. The fact that it fulfills its obligations “to a large extent,” say 31% of respondents. The option “only partially fulfills social obligations” was chosen 49% of respondents. “It does not perform,” – said 8% of respondents. The rest were un decided.

In this case, 46% of respondents believe that the government is now unable to cope with the problems facing the country. A little less – 42% – believe that it manages. The rest did not answer.

But at the same time now, only 28% of those polled favor a greater or lesser extent for the resignation of the present Cabinet, as against – 48%. The rest did not respond. In December of 2011, by comparison, for the resignation expressed 35% of respondents, in November of 2012 – 38%, in April 2013th – 39%.

«The greatest endorsement of the population in the work of government is conducted foreign policy – decisions regarding the” exchange sanctions “, Crimea, Ukraine policy. But here we also see a trend indicating fatigue of the population on the situation in the east of Ukraine, that is, reduction of the share of Russians approve of possible mili tary intervention in Russia, the reluctance to attach the eastern regions (in January 2015, 43% would like to see the east of Ukraine became an independent state, although in March 2014 48% would like to see the east of Ukraine became part of the Russian Federation) – says the survey data Karina Pipia. – The greatest dissatisfaction with the government and other authorities there about rising prices, the economic crisis. It is these problems Russians now most concerned about. Problems in health care and in education (low quality, high cost) are also worried about the population ».

However, in spite of everything “while every second Russian believes that the government will be able to cope with the economic challenges facing the country,” says sociologist. “Resource from the” krymnash “saved – approval rating of government are kept at a high level, despite the deterioration in the real economy and th e drop in the index of consumer sentiment and expectations” – adds Pipia.

Other sociological centers also fix the Russians is growing concern economic agenda. A day earlier, the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) said that “the state of the economy for the first time headed the list of issues of concern to Russians country».

On the economy as Russia’s main problem in January of this year, said 23% of respondents (from 1600). And last year, the economy-called problem area, only about 10-14% of the respondents. In second place ranking in the problem now rise in prices – it indicated 22% of respondents. In third place – foreign policy, of which 14% of respondents are concerned.

However, it should clarify that economic difficulties Russians actively complained before, just their responses and fragmented voices were distributed between low wage s, high prices, the threat of layoffs, the fall of the ruble, the collapse of agriculture and industry – all this is quite possible to unite under item “state of the economy».

Also, according to VTsIOM noticeable that some of the problems that can be called political rather than economic, now in the perception of citizens is not so relevant. For example, in September 2014 10% of respondents cited corruption and bureaucracy major Russian problem. And while this figure seemed implausible small. But now complains of corruption and even less – 4%. And such an acute problem as military operations in Ukraine, too, judging by the VTsIOM, now care only about 6% of the respondents, that too may seem unconvincing.

The Fund “Public Opinion” (FOM), in turn, weekly measures the confidence rating of citizens by the government. On Monday FOM said that now “rather trust” the prime minister Dmitry Medvedev, 45% of citizens (of 3 thousand.). About the same amount – from 46 to 50% – trust him throughout the second half of 2014. “Certainly trust” Medvedev – 17%, “rather not trust” – also 17% and 9% “definitely do not trust».

At the same time, experts believe that the solution to many problems in Russia depends on the ability of the government to change its approach to economic policy. And if this approach to change is impossible, then, according to experts, you need something to do with the government itself.

So, the question of the organizers of the Moscow Economic Forum, which measures need to be taken by the Government today to cope with economic difficulties, director of the Institute of Globalization Problems Mikhail Delyagin said that “the scale of the current government requires these entities to resign and to come forward the nearest branch of the Investigative Committee, or even to the Investigation Department of the FSB. ” Such extravagant opinion expressed former assistant to the chairman of the government in the beginning of zer o Delyagin was an assistant to Mikhail Kasyanov.

Today, the Russian leadership has a “blueprints for the 90s,” said Delyagin. Instead, economists advise the Cabinet to organize the infrastructure, curbing corruption, arbitrary restriction of monopolies, as well as Delyagin called “reasonable protectionism».

But some experts say that the Russian government still shows at least some signs of effectiveness, which may not notice the common citizens, but may notice businessmen. For example, a financial analyst “Finam” Timur Nigmatullin recalled that “Russia has risen by 30 positions once international rating Doing Business-2015, finishing 62th place.”
