Putin instructed the Cabinet to focus on the ruble and social obligations – RIA Novosti

Russian President Vladimir Putin at the final session of the government outlined the priorities of the work of the Cabinet and explained the reasons for the economic difficulties of the country.

The head of state said that the issues related to the maintenance of the course the national currency, it is primarily the task of the Central Bank, but without proper coordination with the financial and economic bloc of the government of the Central Bank will not be able to effectively solve this problem.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, in response assured that the performance of all social obligations to society, particularly marked in the Presidential Decree of May 2012, will be the top priority of the government from the first days of the new year.

“Nobody can abolish social obligations arising from the presidential decrees of 2012, other social obligations, which are based on our regulations. Their steady, unconditional fulfillment of the first days of 2015 is the most important responsibility of the government, “- Medvedev said.

According to him, the priority for the Cabinet will also work to ensure all major , key enterprises in the country. The Prime Minister noted that with the January 1, 2015 becomes effective agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union, and the need to develop work with our partners in this association.

As part of the government meeting Russian President also outlined the priorities for the government in the current difficult economic situation : social commitment and support the ruble exchange rate.
