Russian Foreign Ministry does not rule out expansion blacklist against EU citizens – Kommersant

Deputy Director of Information and Press of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that Moscow would react to mirror any extension of restrictive measures against Russian citizens. “It is impossible to admit that we were treated absolutely biased and actually unmotivated,” – said Ms. Zakharova in the air, “Russian news service.”

She recalled that Russia was “forced” to go to the mirror up to the restrictive measures of the EU and the United States. “We were forced to go to the mirror up to the actions of the US and the EU. We talked about the principle of formation of the list. We also talked about the fact that this is a necessary step that we do not like. We said that we hope that when passions run on the lists of the United States and the EU, we just cancel our lists, “- said Ms. Zakharova.

The black list of 89 representatives of the European Union who are denied entry to the territory of Russia, was in the Western media after the Russian side has submitted it to the EU mission in Moscow. Earlier, world media quoted European diplomats said that the list included representatives from 17 of the 28 EU Member States.

Among them – the leader of the ruling Socialists in France, Bruno Le Roux, former Deputy Prime Minister of Britain Nick Clegg, former Prime Minister of Belgium Guy Verhofstadt, head of the faction “of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe” in the European Parliament, EU Council Secretary General Uwe Korsepius, who will soon become an adviser on foreign policy issues of Chancellor Angela Merkel.
