A court in St. Petersburg decided to dismantle the Board Kolchak – Lenta.ru

the Smolninsky district court of St. Petersburg decided to dismantle the memorial plaque to the White movement leader Admiral Aleksandr Kolchak. About it writes RIA Novosti with reference to one of the plaintiffs, lawyer Oleg Barsukov.

the court was filed five claims with the requirement to recognize the illegal installation of a memorial Board, after which the court consolidated all claims in one proceeding. The defendant had the government of St. Petersburg, and as stakeholders were involved in the Committee for culture of Smolny and historical-cultural center “White matter”, which was the initiator of perpetuating the memory of Kolchak.

At the meeting, the court examined the documents in which the question was raised about the rehabilitation of Kolchak. Representatives of the historical-cultural centre are going to appeal the decision.

a Memorial plaque was installed on 12 November 2016 at the Big house of Zelenina street, where he lived from 1906 to 1912.

Kolchak — Admiral, scientist, oceanographer and polar Explorer. During the Civil war he headed the white movement in Siberia. From November 1918 to 1920 he held the post of Supreme ruler of Russia, then was betrayed by the allies, was captured by the Bolsheviks and executed.
