MOSCOW, 27 Jan – RIA Novosti. Public, military and political leader of the self-proclaimed Lugansk people’s Republic Valery Bolotov has died on 47-m to year of life, reported the Agency “new Russia” with reference to sources in the Union volunteers of the Donbass.

As reported by RIA Novosti source close to the leadership LNR Bolotov died in his apartment in Moscow. “According to preliminary version, he suffered a heart attack, but there’s no precise information,” — said the Agency interlocutor.

In recent years, Bolotov was a heart problem, told RIA Novosti the first Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Donetsk national Republic Alexander Boroday, noting that he did not know the cause of death of the former head of the LC.

In April 2014, after a coup in Ukraine, Bolotov openly called to resist the new authorities in Kiev. During the protests in the South-East of the country, he participated in the capture of the SBU building in Luhansk region, where he was declared “people’s Governor”.

In may, Bolotov was elected head of the LC, but a few months later, in August, he resigned due to wounds.
