As reported in the Prosecutor General’s office, on Friday, the judicial Board on criminal cases of the Yaroslavl regional court has left without changes a sentence of the Kirov district court of Yaroslavl on the case against Yevgeny Urlashov and Alexei Lopatin.

According to the prosecution, the mayor of Yaroslavl Urlashov and his Advisor Lopatin from December 2012 to July 2013 required from the Director of the company to give them 18 million rubles in bribes for their participation in the implementation of the municipal contract for the maintenance of a road network, and in the case of non-compliance is threatened with refusal in payment to the contractor of money for the already executed contract work.

Urlashov was also found guilty of obtaining from October 2012 to may 2013, a bribe of 17 million rubles from the head of another commercial organization for the assistance in the conclusion of the contract of purchase and sale of enterprises with a share of municipal participation.

the Kirov district court of Yaroslavl Urlashov appointed punishment in the form of 12.5 years of imprisonment in a penal colony and a fine in the amount of 60 million rubles. Lopatin sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment with serving in a corrective colony of a strict mode.

according to “Arnosti”, defending Eugene Urlashov not agree with the decision of the Yaroslavl regional court and will appeal against it in court of cassation.
