In his opinion, Russia and the United States should sit down at the negotiating table to work out an alternative.

“I believe that sanctions were not the best thing, but at the same time, the actions taken by the Russian government have been met with a certain disapproval in the international community. Most likely, we will have the opportunity to sit again at the negotiating table and see if we can come to a better agreement”, — quotes the statement of Anthony Scaramucci TASS.

He noted that the US President-elect respects the Russian people and a shared historical heritage of the Russian and American peoples that goes to the days of the Second world war. “We were two Nations in the middle of a battle, and even during the cold war, we felt mutual respect for each other, which allowed us to keep our citizens safe during this period of tension,” — said Scaramucci.

Advisor of the elected President of the USA is confident that the two countries share common values on the basis of which they can reach an understanding. At the same time, he acknowledged that between Russia and the United States, there are contradictions that need to be resolved. According to him, otherwise the country will remain antagonists.
