Putin gave the start of commissioning of the gas pipeline Bovanenkovo – Ukhta-2 – TASS

MOSCOW, January 18. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the start of commissioning of the gas pipeline Bovanenkovo – Ukhta-2, the correspondent of TASS.

In a solemn ceremony of launching of the gas pipeline on the Yamal Peninsula was attended by the Chairman of the Board “Gazprom” Alexey Miller and the Governor of Yamal Dmitry Kobylkin.

Miller at the ceremony of launching of the gas pipeline announced that “Gazprom” in the development of the Bovanenkovo field will be 2 high pressure station and 88 development wells. According to him, the reserves of the Bovanenkovskoye field amount to 4.9 trillion cubic meters of gas, exploitation designed to 2087.

“Today we will be building two high pressure compressors with capacity of 160 MW and 88 development wells. The length of the main gas pipeline Bovanenkovo – Ukhta-2 is 1265 km and is one of the largest and most complex gas projects in the history of the gas industry of the country,” he said.

With the introduction of new facilities “Gazprom” supplies gas from the Yamal Peninsula to the unified gas supply system of the country in the amount of 264 million cubic meters of gas per day, said Miller.

Previously, Miller reported that in 2016, “Gazprom” has consistently continued the construction of the Northern corridor, the construction of the most modern gas pipelines in the world – the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta-2 and Ukhta – Torzhok-2. Thus, according to him, on the gas map of Russia there is a new powerful gas corridor, which can greatly change the streaming delivery of natural gas for consumers in the Russian Federation and foreign markets. In particular, the development of the Northern corridor, consistent creation of new capacities on the North-West of the Unified gas supply system means creating the capacity to supply gas via sea pipeline “Nord stream-2″.

the System of main gas pipelines (SMG) of the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta designed to transport natural gas from the Yamal Peninsula. Resource base and kharasaveyskoe are Bovanenkovo field.

Construction of gas pipeline Bovanenkovo – Ukhta-2 began in 2012.

Bovanenkovo oil and gas condensate field is the largest on the Yamal Peninsula. Proven and estimated reserves of gas are estimated at 4.9 trillion cubic meters. Industrial development in the Bovanenkovo gas field began in 2012.
