For most Russians, the procedure is more important than human rights – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, December 22 – RIA Novosti. Most Russians believe that the order in the state is more important than human rights, according to the survey, “Levada Center”.

So, in order the country is more important than human rights for 62% of the respondents, 29% of respondents were in favor of the importance of respect for human rights, and the rest were undecided.

The most important rights of Russians consider the right to life (65% of respondents), the right to free education, medical care, for security in old age, disease (64%), privacy, housing (50%).

The most important right – a well-paid job in his specialty – say 43% of respondents, the right to own property – 30% and only 19% said the most important right to elect their representatives to the authorities.

The survey was conducted 21 – November 24, 2014 on a representative nationwide sample of urban and rural population among the 1.6 thousand people aged 18 years and older in 134 settlements of 46 regions of the country.
