It is reported by Interfax, citing the director of the Central Naval Museum in St. Petersburg Ruslan Nehaya. He said that now the historic cruiser finished the repair of external upholstery and the bottom part. In the near future professionals start to finish the interior of the ship.
Ruslan Nekhay stressed that the July 15, 2016 marks 60 years since that day, as “Aurora” became a branch of the Central Naval Museum. And that date must meet the cruiser in its usual place in Petrograd quay wall.
Recall that on September 21 “Aurora” was towed to Kronstadt for examination and repair. At first it was assumed that the cruiser returned to the Neva to the end of November, but then repair time was extended.
