Day of the referendum on March 16 will be output in the Crimea – Russian newspaper

Day Crimean referendum – March 16, when most of the inhabitants of the peninsula were in favor of reunification with Russia, will be non-working holiday. The corresponding bill in the first reading took the deputies of the State Council of the Republic.

According to the first deputy chairman of the State Council, one of the sponsors of the bill Constantine Bakhareva, declaring March 16 the Day of the Republic of Crimea deputies met with thunderous applause.

– We want to emphasize the special status of this holiday, its significance in the modern history of the country, and most importantly – its unifying role for all of the Crimean community, all its members, regardless of nationality, religion or political preferences, – said Konstantin Baharev.

The bill also proposed to grant the right to the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a decree to declare, at the request of religious organizations a day off one or another religious holiday. The precedent is already there – this year Sergey Aksenov did output Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

In addition, the document provides that the date of the national holidays in places where ethnic groups determined by the Head of the settlement. In the case of celebrations in more than one district or urban district, the decision taken by the Council of Ministers. In particular, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan annually sets the date of the Crimean Tatar holiday “Hadyrlez”.

– This decision will be directed to the creation, tolerance and recovery of interfaith, inter-ethnic peace in Crimea – said co-author of the bill, the vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament Remzi Ilyasov.

Let’s remind, March 16 at the Peninsula was a referendum on the status of Crimea. In the Republic of 96.77 percent of voters supported its annexation by Russia, in Sevastopol – 95.6 percent.
