This is stated in the statement of the European Commission following a meeting with energy ministers of eight EU countries that were part of the project “South Stream”, reports Tass.
This document is not indicated any possible date of construction of LNG terminals, or funding requirements. In a statement, the EC there is not a single digit.
From the statement of the European Commission : «The integration of gas markets will require the creation of the necessary infrastructure and the use of harmonized rules for the benefit of all consumers in the region. This can be achieved through the implementation of key regional projects such as the construction of liquefied natural gas terminals associated with the pipeline system “Southern Gas Corridor” or the development and transportation of gas in the offshore oil fields of the Black and the eastern Mediterranean Sea ».
Recall the refusal of the project “South Stream”, the Russian leader also announced on 1 December. Putin explained to stop the project, in particular, the non-constructive position of the European Union. Instead, the Russian Federation intends to carry out a gas pipeline across the Black Sea to Turkey.
