A Year Without Boris Nemtsov

On February 27, Moscow hosted a march of memory of Boris Nemtsov, who was killed a year ago in the Greater Moscow River bridge near the Kremlin.
Municipality of the capital refused to agree to the organizers route on Slavyanskaya Square to the Great Moscow River bridge, proposing to hold a march on Moscow boulevards. The organizers agreed to this option. At 13:00 it was declared the gathering at Pushkin Square, where they were installed a metal detector. About an hour later the procession moved in two columns on the passionate, Petrovsky and Sretensky Boulevard, merging into a single colony on Sakharov Avenue.
Participants memory of the march carried portraits of Boris Nemtsov, banners, posters, Russian flags with mourning ribbons and flags “Parnassus”, “Solidarity”, “Free Russia”, “Democratic Choice”, “Apple”, “Russian united National Alliance” “Left socialist action” and anarchists.
A separate column for participation in Marche memory was organized in support of the Ukrainian troops Hope Savchenko, the trial of which is now being completed in Donetsk Rostov region.
According to the volunteer organization “White counter”, more than 24 thousand people came to the march. Police counted only seven and a half thousand participants.
After the procession, many went to the Big Moskvoretsky bridge to lay flowers at the place of the assassination policy.

In the State Duma at the last plenary session refused to honor the memory of a moment of silence policy, and Moscow Mayor’s Office did not support the construction of an official memorial on the site of Nemtsov’s murder.

In Yaroslavl, where Boris Nemtsov recent years worked as a deputy of the regional Duma, at the house where he lived, 27 February unveiled a plaque. It reads: “Here lived Boris Nemtsov – a citizen and patriot of Russia”

The evening of February 27 at the London club “Open Russia” held a presentation of “Boris Nemtsov Foundation for freedom”, founded by his eldest daughter Jeanne Nemcova.
