The Ukrainian government has banned the transit of Russian trucks – Meduza

The Government of Ukraine introduced a temporary ban on the movement of Russian transit trucks across the country. The corresponding decree was published on the website of Ukraine Cabinet of Ministers.

This decision, said the disposal was made due to the fact that earlier Russia unilaterally suspended the movement of Ukrainian trucks through its territory.

The actions of Russian authorities, said the Ukrainian cabinet of Ministers, break the rules and procedures of the World trade organization (WTO) and bilateral intergovernmental agreement on road transport.

With 12 February, activists of the Ukrainian movement “automaidan” started blocking Russian trucks at the border, demanding the authorities to cease trade relations with Russia.
